That is just shocking news. Been a rough 3 years or so on the FMX scene.

Outsiders have no idea the courage it takes to do some of these things. That and BIG balls.

At least he went out doing something he loved.

RIP Tyrone.

This was him at 15!!

So much respect for this dude... An abolute legend from what ive read. Massive skills and courage.

I cant help think whats the point though, of even attempting this. He was on his way to the top as an FMX rider and could do things most blokes can only dream of... Why push yourself over the limit just to beat some other crazy dudes record...
In the pics from the day doesnt look like he's wearing any Armour or a neck brace (could be wrong though)..

Just sad cause he could have gone on to be one of the best FMX riders of all time, and doing what he does well (FMX) safely for a long career...But its all gone now cause of trying to beat a record..

My point is, why not be content just being awesome! Guess its human nature to want to be the best and push yourself..

He was defiantly bloody good. I watched a few videos of this kid and to even attempt to jump these sort of distances is insane! At such a young age, like Justin said, had soo much potential. My thoughts go out to his family. Only condolence is he has passed doing what he loved, and he did it frickin well!!!

R.I.P better to leave this world doing what you love and live for than to leave wanting and living life from just day to working day. In the short time he was here he lived more than a lot of others ever will and to me that's sad. Grab it by the scruff of the neck and if you want something bad enough you'll get it, he new the risks his family new the risks but in life some of us take bigger risks than others and those that do take the spoils, he was happy.

RIP tyrone, and my thoughts go out to everyone associated with him and especially those that will relive what they saw that fateful day. Big wheels, small wheels where all apart of the brotherhood and hurt during these times.

Very sad story indeed.
Unfortunatly this kind of stuff is only going to keep happening as these blokes keeping pushing themselves further and higher.
There is going to have to come a time when we all say enough is enough.
