Rattle in lifan 125cc

hey fellow riders i have only had my pitpro 125cc outlaw for a week and have just finished running my engine in when, i noticed a rattle coming from the engine. it gets worse as the engine revs harder. any help would be much appreciated on how to fix it, or if you could just tell me what the problem might be. cheers bryce

could be some thing simple my bike was making a rattle sound i thought it was coming from the engine but it was the bolts that hold the exhaust to the bore check them or could be your exhaust gaurd bolts loose an rattling

Probly have to reset the clearance on your valve adjusters.

there are no loose bolts, and it is defently coming from the engine i think i will just take it in for a service and put some new oil in it. if anyone else has any ideas on what it might be please let me know. thanks for all you feedback

Are you still running the oil that came in it? the oil in it is run in oil, its not thick which means the engine gets a little rattly, Its usually coming from the clutch and as you rev harder it gets harder, its just the way the engines are, you will get used to it..

yeh mate it is the same oil that came with it so i will change that tomorrow and let you know how i get on, thanks

from what iv heard most bikes come with transport in them and ya shouldnt realy use it to run them in ya better off changeing it strait away and use a cheap 4 stroke oil to run it in i did and iv never had a problem and i still only run cheap oil

Ridin, i have the same bike. It will prob be the exhaust. Its a 3 pice exhaust, and the middle piece just sits there, and rattles. Get some small exhaust clamps, and tighten her up!

Go for a wander through Supercheap. You'll find something there to fit.
