Rear Shock Problem/Question

Hi Guys,

Would someone be able to tell me what the little screw on the rear shock is for?

I tightened mine up a while ago and the thread stuffed up on it, so I can no longer screw the little nut back on (which seems to have a small pin like thing inside of it??). So my shock no longer has this nut thing on it.

Please see attached image to see what I am referring to. I have an atomik moto x, but the attached picture is the closest I could find to my shock (thanks ESD for the image).

does it look identical to a tyre filler valve?

it would be the gas filling valve.

Yes it looks similar (from memmory). It has a needle bit on it anyway.
So not a real issue if the nut is unscrewed?

nah not really... tho it helps stop them leaking

Cool. Thanks for that. I can forget about it (which I sort of had anyway) and not think it might explode on me or something
