hello everyone im planning on rebuilding my 1978 rm 50

the cylinder jug has got marked up and will need to be bored a couple mm and honed

im just looking for somone opions on what piston i could use?

i was thinking a rm65 piston

or getting a oem rm 50 piston coupple mm bigger

ask the people at a Suzuki dealership they would be a big help.

well 2 strokes are a little different at changing pistons and wat not..

theres a few specs you need to know on both the original piston and the potential replacement piston..
IE:
length of piston
wrist pin size
diameter of piston
location of ports on piston(if any at all)
wrist pin to top of piston height

but as said above your local suzuki dealer or even a bike machine shop like serco/wisco would have all this info at a click of a button.. but also google may even provide some good info
