Bought a new rim for my orion 125 but it didn't come with the brake disc, is there a trick to getting the old one off or do i need a bigger hammer?????

MATE its because it gets hot and cold all the time ,just wd 40 it leave it overnight ,if still no luck heat that sucker up again and the will come out eaxsy peaSY

mate get a hammer and smack each bolt a couple of times, then let it soak in WD40 (try not to get it on the outer part of the disc cause you will have terrible breaks if you do).

leave it overnight maybe, smack it again with a hammer to try and shock the bolts so they arent like fused to the thread so tightly.
NOW try and undo them, you might need a breaker bar.
i used a breaker bar one mine and they were done up so tightly it started burring the head on the bolt, so i gave in and let the shop do it.

I'm having a similar issue, snapped a allen key on the rear disk and had to drill two bolts out. Are they allen key bolts for reason or am i able to go to porters and replace them with something easier to remove?

pretty sure there allen keys so they dont come near the swingarm, if you use real allen key bolts they should be easy as pie to remove

the bolts have to sit reletivly flush so allen keys are props the best option. I stripped the head of my'n aswell so I tried drilling them out and broke a easy out in it and then resorted to welding a hex bolt to it and got a socket rench on it. That sure as hell got it out lol.

they use allen head bolts as they are a lot stronger, most are 10.9 grade or 12.9 grade (best)
some of the china allen head bolts can be as low grade as 4.8's.
the disc and sprocket bolts should be loctited in, to stop them from loosening.

always use good quality allen keys too, the cheap ones will twist, round off, and also brake.

left, cheapo china allen head bolt, no markings
2nd bolt 8.8 high tensile
3rd from left 12.9 grade, (highly recommended)
last, cheapest china 4.8 grade, might be ok to bolt a fender on, but chances are it'd snap if you did it up tight
