Hey guys
After looking at the Motovert rx i would love to be able to ride my Motovert around legally on the road. This got me thinking, can i register my 2007 Motovert Expert 125cc.
Did the frame come with a Adr. I have heard of rumors saying so but am unsure.

Cheers Zach

Nope. Apparently Motovert had to spend about 60k to get the RX 125 complied.

That's weird as the frames are the exact same. I would have assumed the frames would be Adr approved

If your bike doesn't have a compliance plate, it can't be registered, then you've got the engine, exhaust, tyres, indicators, mirrors, and the list goes on... You would literally have to spend thousands trying to get it to comply. Not sure what city you're in, but I have an RX 125 that is basically brand new (2011/240kms) that i'm selling if you're definitely in the market for a road legal.

Yeh thats pretty much it, even if the frame is exactly the same it will cost you more than the price of a secondhand rx to get it complied properly. The rx was built and tested to meet all applicable adr's at the time it was complied, that being said, adr's change all the time and what met requirements a few yeats ago may not meet current adr's. I know when honda sold the last 60 or so 40th anniversary model z50's in 08/09 they had and got them complied it cost them over 1000 per bike for the compliance stickers, the uncomplied ones already sold were only registerable with a frame switch to a complianced frame (late 75 to 81)

Ok thanks people.
Thanks for the offer Kirsty but it was just a thought. Thanks for clearing it up though.
