run in period

Hi guys, new member bout a month ago,just bought a atomik fuse 125 for the misses and 160 for me,had a 3 hour ride today on them. Factory says 3 tanks of fuel which will take forever but manual says 1 hour run in period,what would be a decent time frame to be run in properly?

Is it bad if we did,couple of squirt but not much,bad thing?

best to not let them sit and idle for long. Best to ride them. You go up through the gears and then use the gears to slow the bike back down. Dont use the brakes to slow it down.Do it a fair few times.Do this without over reving the engine. When goin up gears its ok to open it up but dont rev it out.

i found the best way to use the gears to brake was go down a very and fairly long steep hill and just let out the clutch a bit and the gears should make the bike roll down at a moderate speed and make sure you don't let the clutch out all the way because you'll just slide down the hill
