Ok i've search for the answer but came up empty. Im sure ive seen something about it somewhere before. What i want to know is what fastace shock is better because im going to change out the elka for one of these, the elka is a 295mm and just throws the ergo's out a tad to much for my liking. The shocks are
GENUINE FASTACE REAR SHOCK BS-66AR 280MM 1000LBS FAST | eBay
FASTACE BS-66-RC-280L ( BFA51RC ) 1000LBS/IN REAR SHOCK | eBay
FASTACE BFA51RC (BS-66RC name before) 280MM 1200LBS SHOCK For PIT DIRT BIKE | eBay
Hopefully someone can help me out & are they comparable to the Dnm.
To tell the truth the only reason i want to run a fastace is the red will tie in with the rest of the bike, i know stupid right, but im just picky like that. Thanks for any help in advance.

The first shock in mention is a single adjust, rebound only. The 2nd shock is a dual adjust, comp and rebound and both are 1000lbs springs, the 3Rd is a dual adjust but runs a 1200 lbs spring and unless your a 110kg's or higher id stick to a 1000lbs spring.

I've owned both shocks mentioned in 1000lbs spring setup and both failed over a year, this was 4 yrs ago though and maybe there better and more refined now, I've been running dnm Mt-RC 1000lb shock ever since but the colour sucks and haven't seen them change, you could always get a spring(1000lb) and change that on the dnm with the colour of your choice. This is just my opinion brendo and I'm sure peeps run the fastace and have no probs.

I'm not a huge fan of the fastace. I think the DNM is better quality but you right about the colours. the options are not very many.
Mick is right about the spring rate. You dont want to run 1200lbs. puts too much pressure on your top shock mount. I'm 95kgs and a 1000lbs spring is fine for me.
Have you seen the fastace I have for sale?? Maybe able to strike up a deal with your elka

Cheers mate, well spotted I didn't even pay much attention to the first one didn't see it wasn't fully adjustable. In what way did they fail? I will be jumping it that's the whole reason I'm swapping it out. The elka as you know is leaking but it was just throwing me forward as it is just a tad long so makes the bike out of whack on jumps and ever so slightly in corners. I might look into changing the mount position on the frame to compensate then look at getting the thing fix if I can. By the way mate I'm out camping at the moment so I will get to the post office on Monday to send the bars to you. Sorry about the delay.

Yeah I saw the fastace you have, again not the red and black that I want. I'm not gonna get rid of the elka as it is basically brand new and cost to much just to give up on. Ill get it fixed or have ago myself before I let it go. Nice try anyway haha.

youi know you can simply paint the spring red, thats what I did and it worked a treat, you will have to take the spring off of cause though. So get the dnm shock which will make a good partner to you gpx black labels (if that is the same bike?). Thats what Im doing in the near future, maybe my next birhtday.
