OK guys and girls I've decided to make a thread for you all to show off and discuss your homemade bling for your bike :D
So I'll go first I guess.....
I purchased a oko 26mm car by off gottagetacheaperhobby.. Thanx again man!!!
So for the past 2 hours I've been sanding and polishing this wonderful specimen! :p

This is what I achieved!

There is room for improvement I'm sure!!

you can polish the inside throat up too if you want, help the airflow into it.
this is my OKO 24mm, it didn't need much to get it like this.
but make sure you don't get any polish down the air bleed holes

some more home made bling,

PW50 polished and ported mainifold

Orion polished intake manifold, cam cover etc etc

Will post pics when i do a shoot of my bike.. But custom oil cooler mount, From recycled old exhaust heat sheild bent at a 90 deg.... quite sturdy and solved a problem that would render the bike un ride-able if it wasnt done :)

Wouldnt mind dual coolers when $$ allows it :p

Some of my shiney home made bling....

Hang on that was Craig....

Can I give you reps +

yes I can!!

Lol it's not really bling/ home made more like race side meet made.

I was trying to get the grip off to block the ends with 5c and this happens

The throttle tube broke from the throttle lol and the cable holder broke too,
A few of the guys helped me out and we came up with this, scrutineering didn't even care lol

what brush or pad did ya use for that? needa pick one up!
bunnings wouldnt stock a cone type drill buffer? if thats what you used....

The grinding stones?
Some $2 sell a pack of 5 assorted grit for a couple of $

i just gave it a light wet rub with some 600 w&d paper, to flatten it off first
then polished it up with some fine (0000 grade) steel wool,
and finished it off with some autosol on a cotton cloth (old t-shirt)

you need to give it a good blow out after though
you don't want the steel wool fibres getting too far into the carbys air bleed ports
blow it out with the fuel bowl off, up and through the pilot and main jet holes to blow it out the intake side of the carby

OK so its done.. For the moment ;) uploadfromtaptalk1399367681486.jpg

I'm happy with the result :)
Ohh before I forget this morning and today after school my nose bled .. Like out of nowhere.. Anything to do with autosol by any chance? ;)
