If your looking for a 150cc i would go for the 150cc lifan(one wif the oil filter on the side) in stock form it goes hard and they around your $600 mark

Hey my pitty has a YX 150cc engine in it. Has a 30mm carby on it.and have had no probz with it. Heapz faster than my mates 140cc

DHZ was selling Lifan 150's for $450 buy it now with oil cooler etc ...... I got mine from surfbabe on ebay for $450 (no cooler or lines) :( a week before Ken listed his unpainted 150's .......

For $600 I'd expect to get a YX160 !!!!!!!! One guy on ebay has them for $799 ..... just wait a little while and someone will start selling them cheaper ...... Remember when the YX150's were $1250 ??????? ........ LOL ......

I would highly recommend the Lifan 150. But put a decent carb on it, and jet it. Plus a good air filter. In stock trim, the Lifan 150 has a good mid rpm hit and strong enough top end. It spins up fast and blows away a stock Lifan 140. Change your oil often (use bike oil or best is diesel oil), and during run in, just be real gentle on the gear shifts. Be sure to properly earth the magneto wire and coil mount on the same bolt to the frame. Lastly be careful kick starting it. All up you'll probably have a rippa of an engine for a few years. ;)

If i were you i would just go and but a proper bike like a KTM, Honda, Yamaha or Kawasaki as they dont need much repair as the chinese bikes do.
thanks

That advice (buy Jap or Euro) wont help him or any mini owners.

Many of us also own a KTM or a Kawi or Suzuki etc (or a few of them) and also own a pitbike (or a few) because they are a bucket load of fun, dirt cheap, and it's fun to work on them and see how good they can go. And they can go really well.

Many of us can only afford a china bike. And the new 150 engines are now very affordable.

Many of us can learn a lot working on a cheap to replace china bike engine. Mistakes are not expensive.

YEP thats true but if you can afford a good bike then you should go for it. i have a couple of pitbikes though when they get wrecked i dont have time to fix it and its a big hassle. so yeh its true what you said its worth what your paying.
thanks

Lifan 150cc

Im looking at getting a new 150cc donk aswell and im def thinking about the Lifan 150cc with the oil filter setup like the over priced chinese Daytona. Maylands has them for just over $500 which i think is a steal as it comes with oil cooler, lines, manifold and cdi and whatever else.

Hi Peoples i have a Xmoto 250cc dirt bike, last week i had changed the clutch because i blew the old one. yesterday when i started my bike and held the clutch in, then hit it into first gear my bike jumped and stalled. i knew that it has to do with the clutch but i dont know how to fix the problem. i adjusted my clutch cable properly, i have tried holding in my clutch as tight as i could but it still didnt work. CAN ANYONE HELP ME PLEASE????

Hey mate, pull the clutch cover back off and have a look, make sure everythink is ok in there.

Spares for the YX 150 are not easy to source. I have been trying to find rings for weeks with no luck and have them on order. When and if they will turn up is anyones guess.
