Looks abit restrictive to me, We tried building a airbox for my mates 125, does its job, but pretty fugly..

I would imagine that would effect performance by restricting intake a bit to much.

clean and re-oil your filter every ride and you shud be orite ;-).

Clean with petrol (1/2 fill a big milo tin and just dunk it and massage the crap out. Can reuse if you let the junk filter to the bottom and you get rid of the junk)
Then just oil it with some good filter oil and you will no need for those.

still its not to bad and would do a reasonable job. i dont see why it would restrict it there are few holes and it gets easy air...

125cc x 5000rpm = 625 000cc per minute

1 cc = 0.001 L

so this little contraption is going to have to allow 625L of air to flow thru it per minute, in order to not restrict the engine. Thats half a bucket per second... So yes it is going to restrict, i acknowledge that in actual fact 125cc is not going to be drawn every revolution but for arguments sake its close enough ;-)

Beats me lol, guest your right. but its not 2 bad

better off building a snorkle if your riding thru that thick'a mud lol

i rode through a creak and was going 2 sell my bike but it kept going lol

these bikes dont seem to mind the water. Have ridden thru creeks and puddles almost upto the carby and hav had no problems.

yeah same the mud/water was touching the base of the air filter. i had my leg over it to try help.

Yer, i can sure back this up, each time we go riding we face water up over my knees, had to drag the bikes through the "swamp" each time to get to the tracks. Just have to oil and clean the filter each time i go out. Does its job fine!
