Welcome to Minirider's
First up, drop in here and
Introduce Yourself.
It all depend's on what size the bike is, crf50 style, crf70 style etc, and what type of throttle it has too
Some cable have a straight end at the throttle, some have a 90° end at the throttle
Can you compare the length of your cable to this one ?

Take your air filter off and look down into the carby throat, if the slide is sitting up off the bottom of the bore it might just be that the slide has been fitted back in 180° out
Try undoing the top of the carby and lift the slide out, look at the 1/4 moon shaped cut away on the bottom of the slide, that need's to face the air filter side of the carby
If it was facing the manifold side then it will be revving flat out when it's started.
You need to line up the long slot in the slide with a pin in the slides' bore of the carby for the slide to slip down and back in properly.
Do up the top and see if the slide has dropped to the bottom of the carby bore, (a few mm's up from the bottom)
Also check that the idle speed screw (central to the tower part of the carby) hasn't been wound in too far and is holding the slide too high
Post up your finding's
