hi all,

So I decided to upgrade my swingarm to a heavy duty one as mine was lookin a little worse for wear. The only prob i have is that the bolt that connects the arm to the frame is a 12mm but the swingarm takes a 15mm.
Is there a way to sort of fill out the gap in the swingarm bearings (like a sleeve) to make the 12mm fit snug?

get a bit of 12mm inside diamter pipe and turn it down to 15 outside diamater
if u cant find any 12id/15od ive done it on my bmx bike worked great

a bearing supplier or something maybe? i saw a thread somewhere that mentioned bushes made for exactly this but it was for the wheel bearings...meh...you can search it... they are available though.
or as rosie said...make your own if you know someone with a lathe... i have one;)

What frame are you using?
I had the same problem with an 07 motovert frame & 08 swingarm.
The frame hole was 10mm & swingarm bolt 12mm.
I drilled the frame hole out to 12mm. Works sweet!
If the inside of the swingarm is wider than the frame you may have to use some washers. Just make sure you space it evenly both sides or it will be off centre.

If your refering to axle size in rear hub bearings as being 12mm & the adjuster slot in swinarm as 15mm.
There are L shape adjuster blocks available with 12mm holes. They allow a 12mm axle to fit a 15mm swingarm nicely.

you need to make up some bushes there are no bearings available.....you can get bearings with a 15mm bore but the OD of the bearing is to big for the hub. Hence the reason you need bush's made up

i tried a bearing place and they had the bearings that fit. it was a 10mm bolt with a 12mm bearing. i got a bearing with the same od as the standard ones but with a 10mm id. not cheap though $20 a bearing :(

cheers for the replies

You pay for quality , it aint a cheap sport especially when you try to take the easy way out with a cheapo bike.

Least you got something to fit , I would be preety smitten about that!
