Well I made it through the entire crank install with no problems, now onto the top end I continue to run into dumb problems. I got the entire topend installed but I have two questions before I go any farther. Is the piston always at top dead center when the flywheel T lines up or is it every other revolution.? I also dont know if I installed the cam shaft with the lobes facing down or not is there an easy way to check this? I may just tear it down tomorrow after work to double check my self. Other than that I just need to adjust the valves and install exhaust studs. Cant wait to ride this thing

Great sit by the way just found it yesterday.

for the purpose of lining up the cam sprocket, the piston will be at TDC when it lines up. thats when you have to have the cam lobes between the intake and exhaust stroke. the sprocket marks should then line up with the marks on the head.

I got the timing right and started out with the t at the mark. I just wasnt sure if the piston was at the top of cylinder or not when I started, forgot to check that. Is it always at the top when the t is lined up or could it of been at the bottom? pm me if you want the stock crank.

So I finished the engine last night finally, just have to get everything else hooked up and adjusted. With the new carb and air filter I no longer have a place to hook up the hose that went to the factory airbox. What should I do with that?

a easy way to check the pistons at the top is to take the plug out and use a screw driver or similar in the spark plug hole and you'll know if the pistons at the top..

push it down between the crankcase and the swimgarm.
