I'm sure this has been asked a 1000 times, so will lay out the setup first:
2005 crf 50 with TB 88 Kit, Race head, 20 mm chinese carb that came with kit, foam filter that came with kit, TB cdi box, pro circuit t4 exhaust.
Bike idles great, and has wicked top end.
Sputters (not bogs) when riding at 1/4 throttle to wide open throttle. Roll on it slow and will rev out fine.
Carb is the stock 20mm that came with the kit, 35 pilot and stock main. Air screw is at 1.5 turns out, and clip second from bottom.
I have changed the main jets from 82 right up to 95, messed with all clip positions, air screw positions, oiled the filter, tried it with the choke partially on, taped off half of the air filter, etc.
I'm 100 feet above sea level
I haven't changed the pilot jet simply because I don't have one right now.
Timing is perfect, ground wire good, good fuel, no air leaks, good plug, good valve clearance, its simply carburation.
Seems to be a common problem, what works?
