I've drained all the oil out and now want to refill it. But this won't come open :( I keep getting confused which way I should even be attempting to turn it which probably doesn't help haha

Some times they are hard to undo. Grab a spanner and undo it
 
A shifter should get it, maybe it was over tightened when it was done up ?
 
I used a spanner and hammer.. I totally ruined it haha. Doesn't look like a nice little dice anymore!
