So I have been contemplating upgrading the ds80 for something a little taller but not full size. I was thinking rm80, kx80 etc. But I wasn't sure if that was going to be much more powerful the the ds80. Then I saw this little machine and was wondering what you guys thought of it? Its a bit of a bargin atm too.

How does it compare power wise to a 80 or 125 even for that matter?
Any input is appreciated.

I had a kx80 bored and bombed to a 100. It was friggn mental but i had to race in the 125 class.

I used to have a rm100 n went like the clappas, 78 model from memory, used to beat my mates it175 in a drag and also flogged another mate with a xl250 :). Was a mean little bike :)

my first bike was a 78 RM100, bought it with my first paycheck 15 years ago(200 big ones, had to borrow $10 from a mate and not buy train tickets or food for the next week at work!) and it was a whole lot of fun. A whole lot quicker than a ds80, in a straight line drag it used to hold off my mates 1990 yz125. I really miss that bike, you never forget your first. You wont be dissapointed if you get a kx100

a mate has a Suzuki RM80XD 82/83 model that he was wanting to sell before xmas, has a few spares to go with it too.
i will give him a call tomorrow if you're interested, he doesn't live far from me either.

They were a killer bike :) Mine eventually died after my sister was riding it (probably a touch on the lean side, i.e i think she didn't put any oil in the mix  ) Anyway pulled it apart, and found the conrod was white?? Holy sheet it must of got hot, anyway that was the end of that bike, also was my first ever pull down (note i didn't say put back together ;) )

my 1978 rm 125 still went hard till i pulled her down for new crank seals a month ago

alright so sounds like a great bike then. I'll think about that rm80 craig, do you know what condition it is in? (I meant to ask you that today)
