hey guys today i accidently dropped my toshiba laptop only on to my bed but i oped it and the screen has shatered i pulled it out from my laptop and its gunna cost 140 ish to repair if i do it my self, 200+ if i pay a shop to do it:O has anyone else done something similer??

oh, and some git that decided to change the voltage setting switch...but he paid for the new power supply

a laptop that cannot get the internet because it just wont install the modem or whatevaa
and this gay computer has internet but no sound!

I threw my 22inch lcd screen at the wall once when I got pissed off with my computor one night. Maybe it wasnt the computor I was angry with at the time but either way the screen was the one that thing that ended up broke. Now I have settled for a 15 inch crt monitor lol one day I will get me another lcd hahaha

I always thought it was an urban myth that your mobile phone could do something to the data on a disk. Well I was at uni on a computer finishing a paper, had a disk with other stuff on it with my mobile on top.... mobile rang. When I went to finished off what was on the disk, everthing on there was compromised. 2 x 5000 word papers I was about to print out and a project on excell (or some other crap, lol).

Anyway, I was mighty pissed... still don't know if it was the mobile that did it, but heaps of people told me that it would have been.

I'm a computer/technology nob jockey so who the fluck knows?


I_THUMP... when did you do that to your screen? I'm wondering if you were pissed off at me when you did it!

when a mobile phone rings it makes a stereo turned down low make some nasty noises, as we all know.... and theres the irradiated brain talk...

they make one damn strong magnetic field around themselves...and theres the speaker as well, that has a magnet in it... wait til the suckers wipe your bankcards

What sorta disc we talkin about? One of them old school floppy discs? If its one of them then theres a possibilty that it could have been cause they get magnatized by the computer in a certain way when something gets written to them and when the phone rang it may have scrambled the pattern, but a cd wouldnt do that because they are not magnatized like a floppy disc

No it wasn't a CD, it was a disk. I'm old, it was a few years ago!

i miss the really really old 5 1/4 inch discs...they was the bomb really floppy... ooooh, and punchcards...i love punchcards...dot matrix printers... flashing leds and switches... and um....ooooh, tubes the old thermionic valves...unkillable and sound grreat for amps...

i was sickk 1 day and i was watchin my name is earl in bed wif me laptop and next thing i was a sleep and then i woke up and threw up all over my laptop causing sparks everywhere lol

my story isnt that exciting, i just lost a 2,000 word report one day. since then i've learnt my lesson big time.
my advice for anyone writing long ass papers:
- save different copies of it as you go incase you eff up, then you can resort back to one of your old copies and just re-write a little bit instead of the whole thing
- when your done e-mail a copy of it to yourself, that way if you forget to take it to uni or whatever you can still access it!
- my final piece of advice - FOLLOW MY ADVICE!

and years back i got hacked like crazy, was talking to some fella on MSN and he was telling me he hacks computers and blah blah anyway he was opening and closing my Disc thing on my computer ! and typing for me!!! then my computer never worked again after that


and one of the laptops light in the screen blew up ..


the worse thing about it is everytime the computer Fufs up you have to like reboot the thing and it deletes all my songs!!! and pictures and movies that took so long to get!!

Worst i have done is spilt coke on my keyboard which ended up making my computer not run.. It was only last thursday it happen. lol..

got a new one now.. When i did spill it, it was so shit.. you know how hard it is trying to log into msn or miniriders when half the keys dont work? lol. I had to use character map!
