Wanting a Thumpstar....PERTH

Hey all,

Im a kid wanting to getta piece of this..I am looking at getting a bike but dont know where to start..I got like around the $1500 to 2k mark to spend.

though i wanna getta good bike for my coin.what do you guys recommend i do? I like the thumpstars. I would also like something with a 110cc or a 125cc. what do you guys recommend. if you know of any secondhand bikes in perth that i could look at that would be rad.

You should hook up a good second hand thumpstar for about 2k if you look around.

how are the ebay bikes? i got one off there a while back..a street one..like a road style bike and wast that crash hawt..didnt last long..or are they worth the coin? i would rather pay that bit extra and have the bike last me...

The first one is OK .. they were pritty popular in the US but had a swingarm issue that had to have a mod done to stop them breaking.

The second one is junk.. do touch that..

You can get a 2nd hand 05 125cc billet alloy frame thumpy for 2k and under.. there is a guy out bunbury way trying to sell his for 2k PM mad_man on this site.

yeh i wanna buy his bike but its like a 6hour round trip...if i cant find anything here ill have to bite it and drive out there...looks the goods that bike..

Problem is they wont be real thumpstar's ... alot of people call these pitbikes, "thumpstars" because thats what they think they are... when they are called "pitbikes". And at tho's prices i doubt any of them are real thumpys

There are some moto shops down in VIC park i think ive seen second hand thumpys there... i saw one at the KTM shop awhile back.

cheers dude. yeh i know..i got sucked into the ebay bikes when i got my road one..not again..wanna real one this time.

ha ha ha..went to some dingy place today that had em..and i asked if they had people come back with the bikes and she is like yeeeeeaaahh all the time..im like oook ha ha ha...she is like its all good cos the parts are soo cheap..

i dont wanna be fixing my bike all the time.wanna be out riding it..so what if the parts are cheap.

im going to go to a thumpstar dealer tomorrow andget the lowdown..

Dad and I got our thumpstars 2nd hand, dad got a slight used 110 for 1200, with new riding gear thrown in, and my 125 pro for 3 grand my bike had barely been broken in, both from the local bike shop (thumpy dealer)

oh yeah, i have the black cag thing, goes all needs is a new spring clutch ($30) chuck that into the deal, just wanto get rid of that thing! lol

i found a bike i think ill get this weekend.went to a scoota place thats a thumpstar dealer during my luch break today..

found a secondhand thumpstar.its just a standard 125 thumpstar frame.with a thumpstar pro engine in it.the engine has been fully stripped down and looked over and rebuilt.have the pro exhaust too.the shop owner is throwing in a one industries sticker kit too.so i cant complain.and its with a shop so i get warranty on it.he said he could do it for a reasonable price.

so i think ill go get it on the weekend.if i do ill post pics up for all you guys to see!
