washing your bike

hey guys
i spray my bike with the hose and then i get a bucket of soapy water and scrub my bike clean with a sponge and one of my mates always starts his bike right after he cleans it i was just wondering if you were meant to do that or if it is bad for it

nah its fine, just let it cool down before you wash it do you dont have everything hot and then quenched cold
