Well I'm back in Adelaide after making the dash to Melbourne to pickup the pitbike from Adam. We got the bike home and gave it the once over Sunday morning before going out for a ride. After a few teething problems and a bit of sorting for my liking, I got out there to ride and get the feel for my first pitbike which I can call "mine". I get the bike back to the car and I tell my brother all the little things I want done to it. He gives it a few turns of his tools and takes it out himself for a ride. He comes back not very happy with a few things and adjusts the shock a bit and the rear tyre alignment etc. I take it for a ride and its better. My brother takes it out again.
This time he's going to the part of the track with the jumps, and he's launching it suddenly on one landing he's down in a cloud of dust. Another rider was going the totally opposite direction to everyone else, and my brother has crashed upon landing, to avoid taking him out. Ricky was able to bin the bike a safe distance from the other rider. However, the other rider also crashed ... at less than walking pace! I'm running over there screaming "my bike, my bike!" LOL Ricky is okay, but the bike got a bit of a bash. The forks twisted too easy (we found the lower triple clamp was loose). The rear tyre was flat and bars bent. Time to go home and fix.
The other guy was up and okay and was trying to start his bike. Ricky was trying to tell him to just kick it and use no throttle until you get a small 'pop' because it was flooded. The guy refused to listen to us and we just left him there, kicking over his bike with no results. We offered our help, but he just snobbed us off. Idiot!
Anyway, we got the bike home, fixed it all up again and went back out riding again within an hour. No more crashes, no more problems! haha
