i think we have seen these motors around be4...
dont know much about the pasific motor but definatlly not worth $950 i wouldnt pay it you could find one way way cheeper ;)

Not worth it. 9.8kW = about 13.1hp The 140 Lifan motors make 12.1hp for $360!!!! I'd recommend you buy the Lifan 140cc motor from Maylands for $360 and then spend $99 too on an IRK and lightened oil slinger kit.

Your hardly going to notice 0.5hp, but you will notice an almost $500 difference!

:D

Its so stupid how they just keep making the engines bigger, 125 was perfect and far enough, I wish every one with a china was on a 125, they have a better power band for jumps and are slightly more reliable and its going to be very easy to strip the kickstart gear on that 150!! Unless they made it stronger..

You dont see any of established "pro" riders out there riding anything above 125, and all the name brand bikes dont have anything above 125 (apart from motoverts 140 engine which was a lemon anyway).

Don't you have a 140?

Far as I care, from what I've seen and heard most people have poor maintenance for their pittys, so I think even a ****** 140 pitty can last just as long with regular maintance than brand name and abused 125 pitty with no maintenance.

I think alot of pitty riders lack riding skill and maintenance skills, and when their pitty does break they easily blame '****' quality or '****' brands for their own problems. So what might have been labelled a **** brand may be good in the end. Its all about opinions.

I like to look at things on a bang-for-bucks rating, so getting back to the topic, I don't think the 150 is worth the money.

You will find that ebay sellers and most online sellers make up the HP ratings for the engines, i cant say i have seen one legit HP reading for any china engine yet.

$500 would buy you a lot of time from an experienced mechanic / engineer who could sort out porting, machining work, etc and get a standard engine working harder and sweeter..

I'd never spend $950 on a china engine no matter what the hp claim is, and i very much doubt its feild tested either, but you get what you pay for and ive seen so many guys with 140's busting cranks , im sure a 150 will bust it alot quicker because the china bikes are all based and copy's of a thai built honda nice motor which bottom end is designed for the 110cc top end with quality parts. I doubt the china 150's been upgraded at all and they seem to run low quality casting and metals/alloys.

Have fun nd let us know if you do get one.

well i wouldn't pay 950 for it,get a 140 lifan
12 hp is incorrect, it is around 10 but who cares.
Ruby, when you says about blaming the bike, i think u forgot to mention, when we're talkin foxico's it IS the bike, lol, i don't see the throttle cable snapping on any pitpro or mso after under 20 hours riding! lol.
cheers

have a look at the bore and stroke (60x53) a 140 will go faster! if you want a motor that will really make some power buy a genuine 140cc lifan off ebay or maylands and bore it out, you can take them right out to 193cc or even more, and would cost less. plus they look really fugly.

ruby makes a good point about everybody blaming quality when its their crappy maintaince and riding skill a bad rider with a good bike would as easily destroy it by crashing than a good rider with a half decent bike

i'm with flarry
i've seen a mildly worked jailing 125 in a vert expert
leave a 140cc pitpro for dead
hell my vert 125 left benox's nitrous 140 asking questions

on the topic the gpx 150 is no show and no go
have a search on this site for some of the other treads on this motor

Me and my friend who has a thumpy pro with a jailing 125 engine had a drag race on the road and I slowly over took him, the 140's have a slightly faster top end.

But the 125s have a better powerband for jumps and are a bit more reliable.

And I think benox has a 138 (127).

yeah not sure
i've also raced a vert pro with a 140 in it and i kept up till we got to the top end
he was quicker but he is also lighter so i dont know if it's a real good indication

i'm not sure what benox's motor is either

how much would it roughly cost to get the **** bored out of my cyclinder? those motors look like **** the big oil cooling transfer rod/line looks flimsy as and the lack of intergrated cooling fins on the engine head scares me

fair bit you'd have to do cam, valves, new piston of course, carby to feed it
plus labour maybe $500+ but youd have a sweet as donk but
it would eat all china bikes

yer him make go fast mmmmmmmmmm

i saw a big bore of i think like 150cc on mojomotorcycles.com.au for 400.
cheers
