I want to get a new mid size bike to basically be a cheap base for myself to build into a real beast.

I am thinking of a Atomik Nitrous Mid Size 150yx or a Atomik Reign 150 yx. I like the fact that the Nitrous mid size is based on the CRF 70 frame like DHZ so i should be able to get plenty of performance parts. I think the Atomik Reign is based on the KLX 110 frame ?

Any views of Nitrous Mid size Vrs Atomik Reign ??

regards and thanks

I personally think that parts wise the klx versions are easier to source. Three of my firends and my brother have atomik Reigns and they are solid bikes that hold up to alot of abuse if looked after when servicing. As for engines I'd go any engine other than a Lifan 140... however if your after performence go a 160 cuz you wont regret it!!

i bought a midsize atomik nitrous with a yz160, i pull it out on race day rce all day and take it home and wash it and put it away, except for when i crash it then i get a steel bar and straighten it but sofar,12 months it has not let me down yet

I thought you bought the standard Nitrous, not the CRF70 based mid size? :)

umm could be isnt the standard one the split frame and the mid the single?

Just had a look through your album, you have the CRF50 framed Nitrous (standard)... I think from memory the frames look pretty similar, its the plastics that'll give it away :)

ok cool it was more the reliability of the bike i was refering too

I recently brought the nitrous mid size and it goes hard and hasn't missed a beat. Haven't tried it on any jumps yet but after locktighting and greasing the frame like hell before i rode it, i think it will be fairly strong. I haven't ridden a reign yet but have seen them and personally i like the look of the nitrous more, there both probably just as reliable as the other, it will only last as long as how well you maintain it and putt it together properly first.

Here's a link on how to properly put on of these together.

i haVE AN ATOMIK REIGN 150 GOES VERY WELL THE ONLY ISSUE IS WITH THE REAR SHOCK .IT HAS NO DAMPENING. GOING TO GET AN AFTER MARKET SHOCK, DHZ FASTACE ECT. DO REGULAR OIL CHANGES EVERY 2 HOURS FOR FIRST THREE RIDES THEN EVERY 8HOURS OF USE. GREASE HEAD SET & SHOCK BEARINGS BEFORE RIDING AND KEEP AIR FILTER CLEAN .
