it depends alot on how you ride the bike but one of the first things to do and i try to say this to every one that buys a new chinese pitty is get some loctite and put it on all the main bolts and with the other bolts just tighten them up but dont over tighten them cause there cheap metal an they will snap
a good thing to do is buy new bolts for the bike ive changed all the bolts to high tensile an stainless steal an loctited them and i havnt lost a bolt since

put a decent amount of psi in the rear tyre cause if its a little low an you take off hard the rim will spin on the tyre an pop the tube
to stop it like i said put more psi in the tube or put a rimlock on

as for what breaks on them well with any chinese bike alot of things can break its just the luck of the draw i guess

Theres a few weak spots that will probably break, them being the oil cooler mount will probably snap, I welded a stronger mount on when mine snapped and the muffler clamp might snap, I got a super thick clamp when mine broke so thats fixed, I also installed rim locks on both wheels after ripping the valves out of both tubes. The only other stuff that broke was from lack of loctite, front brake calliper fell off (make sure you loctite that, comes loose very easily) and the chainguide fell off. Thats about it apart from a snapped throttle cable and I think my gearbox is breaking but its all fixable.

can some one please explane to me what loctite means .....sorry i dont kno much about stuff:D

oh and would all these things break if i just used the bike for riding around.....NOT JUMPING ! ...i might be doing little ones..:D

i seen this pitpro for $990 bnew at a local shop so i think it worth it......

you put loctite on a bolt and it dries, not allowing the bolt to come undone.
cheers.

its pretty much glue that you put on the thread so after you have done the nut up it dries and stops them coming undone, you can undo them though by just using more oomf and a spanner. cheers.

replace the chain, i have seen many chinese chains snap and break the magneto and do alot of damage to the swing arm and engine cases..and maybe your leg..chains arn't expensive, repalce it and it will be alot safer

your bars will bend if you stack, get pro tapers. Chain overtime will snap, get an RK or D.I.D, Ive got a Tsubaki.. GREAT CHAIN!!

Loctite everything, tighten all bolts before you go riding, change oil.. etc.

As flarry said, Definitely loctite the chain guide.. Mine fell off when i was riding, went all the way round the sprocket and back round till it hit the magneto cover.. its like completely mangled now.. :(

Also, no offence but try and use proper english.. Not slang :p and dont say hehe.. it annoys me LOL

The main thing i would worry about is the oil cooler bracket snapping off!!!. Get that bracket reinforced before you go riding. Thats the only problem I have had with my DHZ140 (similar bike). Havent "loctited" anything and haven't lost any bolts.

main things:
bars, loctite, chain, check everything after EVERY ride, don't be ridiculous and kill the thing in 2 weeks and u will be fine, oh and change the oil very regularly, after every couple of rides.

Hahhaha same happend to me, i was going along in 4th and it went CRUNCH, and went all the way around, same happened to my oil cooler, i was riding along in 4th and BANG it fell off.

I need to fix my gearbox now too.

lol same happen here to my yamaha dt175 "86model"....riding along in 3rd than went to change to 4rth .... it went crrrrr now i got no 4rth.....haha cant blame it, its a year 1986 model yamaha dt175 .....and thats why im getting a pitpro 140, blody gear box i think tha clutch was to blame, it has crrrr'd many times before when changing gears... but not this time ..dude it suckz :( ....**** happens

i need a new gearbox ....im not going to invest into they dt anymore ...ITS OLD....but the motor still runs well ..and is gutzy
