Well i when my bike was together i ran a 14 front and its alot more steerable at high speed(but that could be just me lol)

I dont like 14" wheels , i rode my mates bike yesterday and found it handles like a chooper because the 14x12 setups arn't balanced right for the size of the frame and swingarm hight.. I just didn't go for a quick ride either , i used a whole tank and got the feel for the bike... but it stil rides like a snow plow IMO. (note: i was riding both sandy areas, grass and pee gravel)

12x12 would be better suited, bikes gotta sit level otherwise it'l handle like shyt... I think 14's are to bike for mini bikes, unless its a KLX110 setup.

Smaller wheels , the tighter it' turn, but it'll be more unstable at speed and on soft surfaces.. but having bigger wheels will be more stable at speed and on soft surfaces.. They are the main differences.
