Hey guys, my pitpro's forks are brandnew and they're very stiff, iwas just wondering what i have to do to them to get em working properly, such as fork oil, release air, etc, etc???

hey dude,
I would release the cap from the ends of the valve and drain the oil... check out the internals to see if they are in correct working order..... then put a lighter grade oil back in to try make them softer.... make sure ya measure how much oil come out of the forks....

Yeh mate theyre are kinda stiff when theyre new but trust me those forks will soften up alot and then seem to soft usually

Yeah spot on wezza couldn't agree more..KTMKID how much do you weigh ? If you are a grommie get your old man to pull a few endos ...if he's a fat ******* like my old man he'll have em bedded in no time .

Having said that I'm 6 foot 2 and a hundreds kegs and the pit pro is made to handle monsters like me ...so yeah if you are like half that weight lighter fork oil might be needed but let em bed in first .

i would let em' bed in first too, think about it when your about to hit a 30 footer, and overshoot and going to flat land, would you rather a soft fork or hard fork??? i would personally rather the harder fork so i dont bottom out to **** and risk being thrown off the bike personally...

keep em' stock for a few weeks, see how ya go and if all else fails, THEN change your oil, check components etc...

Cheers, Tony.

Hey guys, I weigh 55kg and im 5ft 6".

yeah just get into some jumps and stuff and you will be right, they will bed properly

if not after a few weeks of some heavy riding empty out the oil, put some 5w oil in them but dont forget to measure how much oil came out and put the same ammount back in..

Cheers, Tony.

yeah and don't wanto loosen/make softer because soon you will want them harder for jumps when they ware in!
