hey guys, ive been hearin stuff aroun that ppl have received bikes that havnt even started, broken in half and lasted pretty much a week.
so im wonderin if ill have any of these problems on an atomik 140 prox?
me mates 125 prox only just starts and runs like a dog now after 6 months but that might be because as soon as he got it he thrashed it. yeh so could it happen to mine? are the frames strong on the 140 prox's?
also are there any aussie websites for mods u can get for ya bike?

its not an mxb lol so it should start and lsat awhile if you look after it, my old mxb didnt start but then i took my fuel filter off put some petrol on it then it started, if you want to get some mods there are a few aussie sites like maylands performance, elstars, mso etc

i don't nomuch about the prox but there are a few tips that will help you first of all wen your puting it 2gether locktite every thing and just look after it and it shood look after you. and last of all have fun

another thing is wen u get ur bike dont change the oil straight away sa some pple say... coz thats rubbish....the oil that comes in the new bikes r thinner n help lubricate the motor n get inside the bearings...otherwise if a thick oil goes straight in it can coz some damage coz it cant lubricate the bearings properly 1st off .... the oil should b changed after 1-2 tanks of fuel... and as long as u take it easy 4 a couple of tanks n look after it u will fined it will serve u well

99.99% of the time a china bike does'nt start is a very simple thing & un-aware people think it's broken

I haven't heard anything about the Ducar 140cc motors but.... With frequent oil changes (every 5-10 hours) and having a clean air filter on your bike before every ride you should receive plenty of reliable engine hours.

5-10 hours my god!! i do mine every 5 -10 months!!

 Thats shocking but them Honda 4 stroke air cooled motors run for ever! ;)
But say bye bye to a 4 stroke MX bikes motor with 5-10 month oil changes ;) 2 strokes can hold out longer with lack of oil changes...
I always laugh when people create new topics asking why there transmission pops out of gears, false neutral and clutch slippage... Then they will say that the bike is 12 months old and have changed the oil twice during that time.:p

an average chinese engine with some tlc and taking care of it and regularly changing oil etc. depending on how often you ride it, it should last atleast a year but if ya gonna thrash the hell outta it and do no maintenance etc. it will be much less.. not just the engine, on an average bike many parts lack of quality and tend to snap, bend etc. just like mi throttle cable just snapped, but it things break on most chinese bikes for a pretty cheap price..

Depends what china you buy, if you get it and its broken warranty will cover it.

On my old bike the frame snapped, the gear box broke, the rings are gone burns oil and puts out more blue smoke than a 2 stroke, foot pegs broke, bars bent, chain snapped, cables snapped, carby stopped working, muffler fell apart, exhaust broke, stearing stem bearings broke, engine mounts snapped off etc.

I took care of it, and I just rode it normally, it was an early BSE model.

I wouldnt ever buy an MXB or an Orion/Atomik, I cant beleive I even baught another BSE after what happened to my old one but my pitpro 140 is holding up nicely.

I think the ProX should be ok.. my friend had an AGB27 and snapped the frame once when I went riding with him..

But I would like to know if running 20 -50 oil is allright or should I be running 10 - 40?? Been running my pitpro on 20W - 50 since I got it, hope it hasnt damaged it, left the oil in that came with the bike for 2 days while running it in..

Hey Wake

I got an Orion Prox 140cc about a month ago and they are awsome little bikes and very reliable so far. Ive had maybe one or two bolts come loose but that was it.

They have enogh power to keep up with the smaller trail bikes and even do well in sand (if you buy the big wheel version)

Only thing i can say need improving is the rear shock but for $180 you can put in a fastace 66rc and cut-sick.

The one i got is about the same size as a YZ85 as it has the 17 and 14 wheels, im very happy with mine and recommend them to anyone buying there first pitbike.

pitbikes/minibikes are more of 14/12, 12/12, 12/10 or 10/10...

Put it next to a fullsize 250 and it definately looks mini :D

Nah it looks midsize, put a CRF 50 next to anything and it looks mini.

lol, it just looks mini against a 250, possibly cos a 250 is like MUCH bigger...
