what is this on 125cc ducar engine?

I have owned my atomik 125cc motox for about 7 months now and went to go for a ride today and i noticed that the part (that im pointing to in the pic) moves in and out and the spring/clip thing is very loose.Can anyone tell me what this part of the engine is and if it is suppose to be like that?If its not meant to be like that,how do i fix it?Cheers.

looks like the clutch thingo but never seen it there before. If it is the clutch it is meant to move

Yes it is connected to the clutch cable but im not sure if it is spose to move in and out like it does.And the clip thing just moves around so much it makes an annoying noise and i dont even know what its for.

thats the clutch pivot arm yes its supposed to move ur spring is come loose that is a return spring

that is the return spring and it looks like it may have snapped. I wouldnt worry about it if your clutch is working fine.

yeah if your clutch is working fine dont worry about it. i have the same engine on my moto.

hey see the bit of the spring that is dangling down i think its meant to be on the other side of the clutch arm putting downwards pressure on the arm so that it springs right back down when you release the clutch

yer that is the clutch return spring

the same thing happened to me. my one snapped so i used the spring out of an old pair of multi grips and a piece of wire to fix it.

this happened to mine if u open up the ducar plate on the side you will see a small little pin inside with a flat head on it ( providing u haven't opened it b4 and lost it) but there will be a lil hole on the arm part up the top where the pin slides in it has fallen out causing ur arm to moving and letting the sring jump free. Load up the spring again, put the levr back in place and push the little pin in the hole and it won't happen, Try putting a small dab of locktite uder the head to stop it falling out again.. As i said this happened to me, and thats what it was.
