So not 428? how do i tell from the sprocket what size i need. Its got 15 teeth and says J something 253-15.

most pit bikes are generally 420, although some have come out with 428! why not take in your sprocket to a moto shop, without know what it looks like i cannot be exact on what size it is, but a good motorcylce store will

420 sprockets are 6 mm thick ... 428 is thicker and the chain is wider to suit ... If you've got your old chain ... count the links and get another one the same length ... If you want a good chain , pay the extra for a DID , RK , or other brand of high quality Jap chain to avoid stretching and constant readjusting ... The chain is one part that should NOT be skimped on ...

Thanks. went to the bike store for the chains. theres a huge difference between the 420 and 428. quite obvious which one i needed. Bought DID .

if you measure from pin to pin on your chain with a pair of verniers and tell me how may mm it is i can tell you your pitch and the chain you need as i sell chain :D
