what to look for???

hey fellas i know this is probably answered somewhere else but what are the ebay bikes like? am i better to just buy a second hand one from on here? and what should i look for when i am buying a bike. i dont wanna buy one then have it fall apart haha. my budget is about 500

well guys from posting the initial post to now i have purchased an orion 125 with a ducar engine, also has a twin spar frame style?? haha have no idea. But i got it for the huge price of $100!!!!!!!
Is that an ok bike??

for 100 buks who cares if it falls apart after one good ride (it wont tho all china bikes last a fair while if treated good)

the only reason why its $100 dollars is because he snapped the chain and couldnt be bothered putting a new one on haha. so my loss is his gain!! i cant wait! lol.
