Yeah the Fox V2 Helmets seem to be the Best Built for their Price...well thats what I think anyways. Fox and M2R are Both Good Brands!!!

lol..a helmet looks mad for a couple of rides..have you just won lotto or something..u seem to have a bit of cash to spend upgrading your bike etc..my helmet cost me $80 and its still perfect..my head is still in shape and im happy :)

dont go all out on gear when its gunna get trashed eventually..get a good, cheap helmet and spend the rest on your bike.

^^^^^^ biggest misconception ever

what happens when your super modded bike has too much power for you to handle
and you end up coming off and smashing your head,
you will probably think about why did i cheap out on a helmet and spend more on mods

anyways i have Fox V2 Sin City
although its black its stays fairly cool while riding has vents and its pretty light
heres a pic

lol, i bought an impact helmet, as i said $80, it has an australian certified sticker on the back of it and theres no problem with it..i've had crashes with it and my head isn't damaged..just because something has a monster sticker or whatever on it, it doesnt mean its good..

i have to agree , im not gonna go out and spend 400 on a helmet... im not gonna go buy a absalute ******* but something semi decent that will still save your life...

same as gear ... i bassicly pick the cheapest pants/jersey combo as they all basicly do the same thing...

even my knee pads where $20!! and there my favourite item of protection!

But im just a cheap bastard...

my helmet cost me $160 or around there and its fine and i've done so medium sized stacks..... but i got o'neil boots they're good and shift riding gear.....

i say when it comes to safety, particularly your bonce, buy the best stuff you can afford. The common misconception is that all helmets do the same job, it's the materials and pretty paint job that alter the price. ********.
Whilst not always the case, price usually reflects quality when it comes to safety gear, particularly helmets.. So find something that fits you best first, has a pretty sticker kit second, and has the airflow your after. An ASA sticker, doesnt mean it's a great helmet..
if it means getting a plain looking helmet that will do a better job of saving your head in a stack, instead of saving a few bucks for the sake of some "cool" paintjob, (though luckily quality and a paint job go hand in hand in some cases nowadays, eg Fox and M2R).
Young fellas... who cares if it works, as long as it's shiny and gets you muff right? ha ha.
.... we really should start a "back in my day..." thread for us old blokes...

shoei, if you have the cash to blow.. they have to be one of the lightest helmets..

also if you got a pay a bit more, they will be made out of different materials..

there's helmets now that will spread the impact point around the whole helmet which just means it's not going to hurt as much!

I got a Fox Tracer helmet.. mostly got it for looks, but its a good helmet and very comfortable. Doesn't get hot..

IMO, go to a motorcycle shop and try and few on, ask a few questions and decide on the day... Most shops will stay there with you and give you good advice, and if they don't tell them you will take your business else where.

i just got an impact racewear helmet, oneal riding gear, oneal piston boots..and to top it all off,

A DHZ 140 OUTLAW hahaha..its all quality gear but it was cheap so i bought it..no loans required :)

$80 dollar helmet = ********* helmet. I dont care what anyone says. Any helmet sold in a bike shop needs Aus Standards sticker, doesnt mean its an amazing helmet.

I will spend as much as possible on my helmet before i get anything else. I have always run Fox Top of the line helmets. And now a Thor Force Carbon. I spend my money on important stuff, like a neck brace etc also.

The Expensive helmets are made much better, lighter, spread impact much better etc. Dont listen to the $80 helmet idea's.....Unless your braindead or your looking to become braindead!

ok,so your saying when fox, thor etc first came on the market they werent selling high quality gear, they started off cheap so they can get a good name..why does everyone rely on the "BRAND" names..

so your not gunna give another company a chance on the market you just gunna look at their name and say their crap? i've had crashes and my head is still in tact..and i dont think they would sell them in Australia if they were "*********"

Im not going to argue with you on this mate. Its not a "Brand" name thing. Its a quality thing. You cannot make a helmet and sell it for $80 and still have the same quality as a Thor Force, Fox V3, Shoei, SixSixone etc. Its not possible.

So No Im not going to give another company a chance. Im not taking a "chance" with my life. I value being able to wipe my own ass. Im not looking at the name and saying its crap, Im looking at the PRICE. I dont care about brand names, i care about quality. And it just happens that the Big Brand Names have the most money to put into Helmet Development. Which makes there Products the best out there.....I'll happily Pay $500-600 Plus knowing that im getting the best helmet possible.

Good luck with your $80 helmet anyways....Oh and people would sell there own mothers just to make some cash these days. ********* products are sold everyday. Including ********* helmets.

haha go by price. if that impact racewear helmet was for sale for 300 bux you would buy it then..?? haha dont make sence.
