I just got a Motovert Pro and am loving it. But i broke off the little rubber guard on the swingarm that stops the chain rubbing. Where in the Melbourne area could i get another one? or what would i search for?

cheers guys

You should try the dealer you purchased the bike from probably the easiest way to go.

no dont go to the dealer or any of that **** to get a slider replacement. The stock sliders on these bikes and any other import is rubbish plus they will over charge you for the part. I use and recomend going to a wholesale - industrial outlet which sells nylon to the public ( ring around if you must!) these places are very cheap to buy this material off and all you have to do is measure up the length , width and thickness and even colour of the nylon you want take the dimension into them and get them to cut some to size. You can even go for a custom length like i did as you will find the correct chain tension for these bikes allows for the chain to slap on the top of the swingarm. So I extended the chain slider by about 15mm in length and had the slider sit 2mm higher to slide better. The material they will give you is industrial and is often Aussie made and I will last 10 times longer than any crappy **** replacement part. All up it costed me $4 with some spare nylon left over , a bit of a file a heat up and hot knife job will set you straight for a better slider then drill out the hole for the bolt and counter sink the top. I inserted a small metal washer fixed in with silicon to stop the bolt pulling or elongating the hole. Last by all MEANS please use some bathroom clear silicon on the bottom of your slider so when it sits on your swingarm it does not wear in! it also holds the slider in place under extreme conditions.
Lastly I changed the crappy panhead bolt that was filled up with **** to a stainless steel snowboard binding bolt and fixed in with loctite then once fastend to the swingarm filled the phillips head with silicon to prevent **** getting into the head.

just get an old nylon chopping board and salvage it . ;P

I just baught a block of industrial grade plastic and cut a new one, and it never wears out.

i'll go with the old nylon cutting board 9 times out of 10 it the right thikness and everybodies got on layin around plus you got enough for a few if needed
