Has anyone noticed that some ebay items are dearer than buying from the shop.
I was looking for a mikuni and cheapest on ebay was auction start of $29.00 with $12.00 delivery or $49.00 buy it now.
I found one at MSO for $29.00 with $8.00 delivery.
I'm not trying to plug MSO but I'm starting to find that a some things on ebay are getting more expensive than the shops.

ebay is all about making money
as with everything it pays to shop around

well i found something completely different, mso are selling the hydrolic clutch kit for $99 whilst on ebay they are $80 or there abouts

also.. just a note.. remember bcoz things are put on ebay doesnt mean they are cheap.. as people wanna make money.. like custom said .. always pays to shop around...

delivery costs is the main killer on ebay, sellers want to make that bit more. like the pitbikes most sellers are $120.00 but there is one that charges $280.00.
is there any search engine for the cheapest prices for pitbikes and accessories, like shopbot.com.au for computers.

A bit stressed out there cactus? Would you like a cup of tea and a relax in front of the telly?

I recently went to a bearing and engineering supply shop to see if I could buy dust seals separately for tapered roller bearings ...... the guy behind the counter didn't have a clue what they were and even questioned their existence .... yet they can be found within seconds on an ebay search . He wanted me to take some seals in to show him ..... QUOTE]

he he he
some people
you can get oil seals demensionally the same as the tapered rolers in your head stem but they will be no good to you they will be to thick
but you can't buy the seal for the sealed taper rollers seperately if the seal is shot you have to replace the whole bearing the bearings are specificaly made to take the seal.
part no. 32205jrrs koyo make them they should fit most pitty's and some big bikes to

but hey ebay is full of dodgy bros i'd rather cut my losses and buy from a dealer at least then i've got a little bit of backup service

imo
