Thanks. I'll be tinkering with the bike tonight

I take it the one I posted was no help.

Sorry to bump the thread BUT.

Ruby sold me this bike and I don't know how to wire it up either!!! LOL.

Does someone have an accurate diagram?

thanks.

thought it was a good bike when i didn't know anything about bikes, why did you buy it, it sucks.

I was just gonna take it apart so I can see how things work.

I payed $50 so I'm happy. (sorry hillz LOL)

I've got a spark and I've put the carby on and the exhaust and the motor is sitting on a crate, but for some reason the motor isnt starting???

Anyone have any ideas?

cheers

Sid, pull the plug out and kick it over. See if its got good compression.

Then check all the electrical. While the plug is out, check for spark. Then check that fuel is getting into the engine ... is the plug wet?

Let me know further if you still have problems.

Daniel, so there is no confusion, Sid didn't get the engine, nor much of anything else we originally got from you. Sid's got some semi-auto motor in the MXB frame. I still have the 125cc motor in the garage.

BTW Sid there will be no oil in that motor. Top it up.

Ruby I have a spark and I've got the carby and exhaust on but I have no compression because the Cam Cover is cracked.

The motor won't start anyway will it if it has no compression??\

How am I meant to check if fuel is getting in?

cheers

Great I found the air leak it was the cam cover and it has a crack in it!!

I'll see if i can patch it up tonight.

A cracked cam cover should not be the source of lost compression. If it is, then there is a far worst problem, a cracked head. I have another cam cover if that'll help.

Put you finger over the plug hole and kick the engine over a few times, then see if there is any fuel deposits on your finger, to see if fuel is getting thru.

What do you want for the cam cover ruby?

I tried my LIFAN one and it's too big.

hey
ruby can u plz send pictures of your mxbbecause i have the same 1 but my 1 is green.
