Hey guys i just replaced my stock air filter to a Green Uni filter. Now every time i try start the bike it wont start without the choke fully on, and then when i turn the throttle to accelerate the bike splatters and dies out. It sounds like its sucking in air?????

PLESE HELP ME!!!!! I WANA GO FOR A RIIIDEEEEEEEEEEE.....!!!!!

did you oil it ? If you have'nt oil it .

might have to raise ya needle

Screw the top out of the carby and pull the slide out, remove the cable from the slide and then tip the slide upside down and the needle should fall out and on the top of the needle is the adjustments, just pop the little circlip off and move it and then put back together.

Move the clip down 1position and see how you go it's trial and error.

good luck:D

becuase the uni filters has better airflow then ur stock filter the engine is getting to much air and not enough fuel, so u need to richen it. Try doin wat dreadful said. if that doesnt help once u've had a couple ov goes, try screwing ur fuel/air mixture screw in 1 turn at a tym.
Good luck, hope ur back on it soon

Yeah mx is right too....even try the screw first but I'm thinking it'll take a bit more than that ...you'll probably have to drop the clip .

yeh ive just droped the clip but still doin the same so ill try da mixture screw

wind it all the way in and then back it off 1 and a half turns...put the clip back too if this don't work try raising the clip ...we could be wrong hard without hearing what it's doing .but I'm on all arvo so we'll get it going eventually mate

yeh it was doin it a little with the stock filter. I have chane the clip position to the lowest, and done the mixtre still not working????

go up with the clip just to make sure....doubt it but if it don't fix it you will need to rejet it I think ...probably have to put the stocker back on if you have'nt got jets .
If it was doing it a little with the stocker try putting that on with it dropped one position.

tryed the stocker, but nuthing ill try the clip posi up

Faaark I'm running outa ideas ... is the spark plug cool?

There's crew on here that know a shitload more than me sooner or later one of em will drop in ...anyone else got any ideas ????.

Dude take it to someone who does this sort of thing everyday. These guys are trying to fix a problem they know absolutely nothing about. Just PAY someone to fix it. Stop being so tight.

hey sixeven theres nuthing wrong with trying to have ago urself and learning new things with trial and error, so next time dont come in here and let out your anger by accusing me of being a tight arse.

still aint starting, what does havng oil on the filter do???

mate i just had very similar probs. fiddeled with carbi and valves for ages. ended up gettin a new motor to fix it cause it frigged me ova for so long. the only other thing i can think of is that i over oiled my filter or put it bac on wet and it leaked through the engine case and over the magneto or sumthin. dunno whether this would frig with it but some one might know.

i think its the mixture screw, iv gotta play around with it, have you fixed your old motor???

Oil on your filter makes sure the **** passing thru will stick to the filter and not continue thru to your engine.....I clean and oil after most rides as it's dusty down here .
I think you might need to bite the bullet and take it to a shop...it's weird it won't run on the old settings with the stocker .Like I said before it's hard not seeing or hearing the bike .

nah motor was a 110 to 125 upgrade so the old one is spare parts now, no point in fixin it

1. Raise idle via the gold phillips head screw on the right side of the carby.( to the right to raise, to the left to lower idle.)
2. Run the bike with no air filter to see if the filters a re restricting it.
3. Check inlet manifold for air leaks.
4. Check fuel cock in correct postion.
5. Check that ur main fuel line is running down 2 the carby not up so its not trying to defeat gravity.
6. tighten/loose the fuel air ratio screw on the bottom of the carby.
7. Try running the choke.
8. See if your cabt piller is at the bottom of the carby.
9. Let fuel out of your overflow, it may be flooded.
10. Attempt to Clutch start the bike.
