140cc Lifan Clutch, Seriously need help.

there is a pin, the mushroom headed tappet thingy. 12. then theres a bearing bush, runs inside the bearing, and inside it is a spring, along with a little piston. mainly so the pin actually retracts properly and doesnt rattle. nothing actually pulls it back when you let go of the lever, just...

twin chain sprocket for a chinese mini chopper

a duplex chain? why? good luck. i aint ever seen one with a spline in it ready to fit to a pitbike or any bike, really. not sure how you would get the sprocket retainer on there, either. maybe you could just try two sprockets with the retainer sandwiched in between. then its just the two...

How To Break In an Engine?

like every other post in internet history regards breaking in an engine, there will always be the other method... me myself and i, prefer the hard break in. check it all over first, so yeah, valve clearances, decent MINERAL oil... start her up and resist all urges to open the throttle. let it...

    daytona manifold/carb bolt spacing

its actually proving to be easier than running a carb. after the first initial OMFG learning the software, i can make it leaner or richer across the whole range with the click of a button. set it as if it has a choke that gradually turns itself off as it warms up rather than either on, half or...

    daytona manifold/carb bolt spacing

lifan 140 with high lift cams and, erm...a turbo. fitted in a honda C50 (cub) frame. got an ecotrons kit, and other than a few little issues, mostly with the throttle body, it works fine. the throttle body is an absolute joke, from the mounting flange being 90 degrees out from where it should...

Whats oil for my lifan 140cc engine?

huh? about 800ml of plain old oil. alright. plain NEW oil. can be single grade 30W for "stationary engines", can be multigrade, 30w or so, synthetic is just being silly... it is better to use motorcycle oil as its a bit better for the wet clutches and combined gearbox but the difference is...

    DS80

an OLD ds80? leave it as is, theyre worth more as "stock". without stretching the swingarm, getting a longer shockie, and finding longer forks... nope, not much you can do. oh my, the days of having eaten small bits of cardboard then doing donuts on a ds80...ah, the memories!

    Remote control kill for beginner

i should bite my tongue but...yamoto? *warning! my arms are flailing wildly!* wireless doorbell, hacked up with a relay wired up to the killswitch :) press doorbell, it plays "jinglebells" and hits the killswitch. simple!

To strap or not to strap

lay em on their side in the back of the ute/van and let em slide! thats my technique! open the windows and dont light up any smokes during the drive :D or carry a bale of hay for ballast/support. or even...just ride down the road! um...when pushed, i always resort to rope and...

    daytona manifold/carb bolt spacing

hmmm, i eventually DID find a listing for a carb boot using 58mm holes, so it appears that it may actually be 58mm.. shame. oh well. i need a 28mm ID with 48mm holes with an EFI boss for my injector. this is why i got a 3d printer! i have always wondered how ABS will go instead of wax in the...

    Exhaust for 140cc

lucky i never answered, i would have said "any kind of pitbike pipe"... only bike i had issues with was one of them twinspar cradle frames, where the stock pipe runs through the frame with some nasty bends...but hey, the bigbore pipe from dhz fits just as well...it simply burns the leg of any...

    Troublesome Ct110

ouch. that there is a "head mounted" cdi. under that cover is a mechanical advance unit, and a trigger coil. i would say, its circa 1986 or so, the 84 and earlier had points under there. the black box is, as mentioned, the cdi box itself. the generator/flywheel produces power, charges a...

    Porting!

old? good threads are like whiskey, they dont get worse with age...but better. yeah yeah, whatever. *pours another johnnie* nope. like most forum boards where people have this annoying habit of using outside image hosting... i dare say that when an image is gone...the image is gone. except...

    Clutch and oil !

clutch needs adjusting. 125s usually have the clutch lever on the front of case, next to the cylinder(not knowing which particular 125 it is, i can only assume its a "start in neutral" type). the adjustment thingy is under a plate on the side. flat head screw and a locknut. fiddle a bit :)...

Pit Bike Idling High then low then high .exc. with choke on or off:(

wheres the freaking pics? theres enough videos on the net of bikes being started and idling...we just want to see the carb. a fair few carbs have the air screw in the best place ever designed...underneath, where you cant get to them! (without burnt fingers, short stumpy screwdrivers or right...

    daytona manifold/carb bolt spacing

hmmm...time i got a straight answer on this. whats the distance between the mounting holes on the daytona 190? this here manifold 30mm inlet manifold suit Fuel injection pit dirt trail bike Daytona 190cc 150 | eBay appears to be pretty well much what i need, but the listing states 58mm...

    some say it wont work...BS!

also making about 6psi, but thats meaningless as its not under load, and the compressor isnt plumbed up yet. once it gets a bit more air flowing through, therefore more exhaust gas, i expect a bit more than that ;) but still, it aint ever going to get over 1 bar, i expect...

    some say it wont work...BS!

update time! still yet to hook this thing up on the intake side... waiting on some hoses now. just ordered a complete EFI kit. also waiting now :( decided a blow through carb, whilst maybe ok for the initial phases, just isnt going to cut it. anyways, after seeing this video...

yep, spray oil she did :) though wasnt too bad, feeding from the return line of two oil coolers. more of a dribble really... might not need a flow restrictor after all. and just cracked the wastegate open when placing ones hand over the blower :) forgot i had another camera... gotta...

    some say it wont work...BS!

not on the pit bike, probably, but on the honda C50...definitely! those PC radiators are pretty darned small. 80mm-100mm fans. tiny :) though, yeah, would be easier to use an existing radiator with a proper cap on the thing. dont need too much, sheesh, its only for the turbo housing. (mainly...
