Here's a picture of the gear. I have been searching and searching and have not found this exact gear and spring. Also, you can see the crank gear has a large amount of teeth missing. This may be the gear but it has no spring - Italjet Pista 50cc Kick Start Pinion Gear | eBay

OK I got the kicker to return after each kick now (the spring just needed to be rewound), but the little gear that shoots out and contacts the gear on the engine to start it, it isn't returning or something so when it starts it just stays in contact and is stripping out. Making a ton of noise...
