It sounds like an inlet manifold or exhaust leak. Maybe even head gasket. When you changed over the carbies did you change the manifold as well?. Do it up bookoo tight against the head. Same goes for the exhaust. Check there is not a hair line fracture.....especially check around the exhaust...

I have a Jailing 3valve and have a 54mm piston for it, I dont have a 54mm head gasket. Do you know if there is an off the shelf gasket available? I'm waiting on some other stuff so I can do the bore, cut the valve reliefs and do a port job.....gaskets are the only thing not covered so far...
