    so that would be my problem, mixed the wiring up? because i had to take the plugs off because i took my electric start off and all the stuff that went with it, so i had a dual plug cdi. this new cdi is only single plug but same number of wires so i took the plugs off and used adaptors to connect...

    it just doesnt run right, takes ages to kick and when it fires it blows smoke, doesnt idle and sometimes blows back through the carby, my old cdi didnt have any of these problems, does this mean the cdi is a dud or its just not connected properly?

    i got a new high rev cdi and ive wired it up. it gets a spark but the bike doesnt run like normal, it just seems like the spark timing is out cause it pops and splutters and then evetually dies. have i wired it up wrong or is the cdi just not usable on my bike?

    what part of my transmission would be sutffed? gears would be fine i would imagine, it would just be the components like the hubs or the selectors yes?

    rsg my engine is vertical, dont know how i managed to damage it, i changed the oil and same deal, still gets stuck in neutral.

    rs the oil theory maybe right, i put some of my friends oil when i drained my old oil and thats when it started, so ill be changing it, and if the gear teeth were chipped wouldnt i be feeling it while its running in gear? changin is the only screwed up part. cheers guys

    i have a 150cc loncin engine and its been running fine up until now, for some reason it doesnt change from first to second smoothly, it always ends up in neutral and then jamms in there so i have to keep playing with it to get it into second, all other gears are fine, anyone had this problem before?

    djb take airfilter off and bag the carby and exhaust, take plastics off and gernie them plus the bike, ocassionally take wheels off and regrease bearings, clean shocks with wd40 and pump them up and down, let airfilter soak in a tub with washing powder, then clean with fuel and apply oil then...

    get a flat blade and a something to wrap it with and just push them open, itll force the fluid back into your resoviour and they will be fine

    my bike backfires like crazy when it gets hot so i presume this is because of my valve clearance. just wanted to know if anyone can give me a good rundown on how to adjust the valve clearance properly on a pushrod engine. dont want to go and try it without knowing exactly how to do it.
