    building first bike.

Yeah I've been looking for an lxr roller, not much around, only finding complete bikes for thousands but will keep my eye out,
  3. GenuineThumpy

    building first bike.

Well I'm looking for the feel of somewhere around the lines of an lxr, or even life a pitpro/atomik Bigfoot, where it just feels like a bigger bike than say an ordinary china with cfr50 style frame and 12/14 wheels, I am fairly tall so need something I can't stand up on without breaking my back...
  4. GenuineThumpy

    building first bike.

Yeah the crf70 style frame from dhz was the one I was going with in the first place, but apparently there is no setup for that frame that will make the bike feel a bit bigger than the 50's

Sniped on the last bid by $1  well if they are worth 1k brand new o website that will be a bit out of my budget, anyone other frame someone can recommend that will be good?

    What 140cc engines are good..

Yeah I hear the race ready 125's for power are unreal with the right setup, and like zwebx said you'll be behind in budget to buy your spares if someone on it goes wrong. The 125 already comes with the decomp pistons race cam etc, so that might be your go, but if you are stuck on your 140 then...

    What 140cc engines are good..

Depending what your budget is mate, there is quite a bit of variety of 140's and there will be many different opinions on what is better for power an reliability but I assume the one engine most people would agree on as a good quality engine would be the gpx Moro 140x, around $4-500, the Lifans...

    Stolen or not?

Only way to tell is if the bike has been identified by the police and has then be reported as stolen, take the vin on the engine, should be around thegear shift I think or maybe the kick start, do what snaptrax said and take it to the police and have it checked

First Ride and crash on the 190!!

aha nice, track looks like a good little run about, had the same thing happen to me on the weekend, tire got clipped by a big 450 and got smashed off, guess its all in the fun or riding though, the bloke on the 450 didnt even lose his balance, ahaha it was just like he hit a little stone, but i...
  14. GenuineThumpy

    building first bike.

Yes that's what I am after, that comfortable feeling to stand up, well I thought this was the copy frame they use on the pitsterpro which is why it's crf70 style and not 50, can already tell that it's quite a bigger frame than the others. Like in Brendos build, he used the dhz crf70 style frame...
  15. GenuineThumpy

    building first bike.

what frame would you recommend? thought the crf70 style frame with the bigger forks would make it sit quite a bit higher than your average smaller mini

How much are they really worth?

Yes I know that some bikes are put together a bit better than others, n I know all bikes last aslong as you take care of it, but I don't see an atomik, a dhz or any mild class bike for that matter coming anywhere close to the raw quality of a thumpstar, I can't add up a price to build it cause...
