This is my 1995 cbr250rr mc22. Bought it off a cbr forum member for $1k as a fixer upper, turns out there is barely anything to fix up. I cleaned and balanced the carbys and it runs perfectly. I have replaced Al of the cracked fairing and I am in the process of sanding it all back and painting...

Is it a 2 stroke? If so, pull the housing off where the chain and sprocket connect to and have a look at the centrifical clutch, are the springs broken or pads bare to the steel?

Yeah im in Vic. To be honest im not a huge fan of the Hyosung's, plus they have a much more upright riding posture so wouldnt be of much use as a track bike

yeah ive heard mixed reviews about the engines stock performance (mainly of the older models) but ive also heard that people have extracted a lot more power with a few mods. Shouldnt be too hard to put a new carb and camshaft on with a bit of head work

Regardless of what you paid for it, it's only worth what the next person is willing to pay. I hope that you sell it, but in my experience when spending that much money on an engine people would prefer to build it themselves, that way they can be sure of how well built it is rather than ending...

Does it happen when the bike is stationary or when it is moving? The reason that the vibration happens is because something that moves is out of balance which could be your wheels or your engine. If it happens when stationary then it will be your engine.

It could also be your valve timing. My exhaust was doing the same thing then upon checking the valves my intake valve was way off
