    Lifan 110cc auto wiring diagram

Just put the battery on the shelf in your garage. Jumping a pit bike with batteries is not a good thing. Not only do parts break, but handling is much worse. Like having a full tank of fuel.

    Push starting a centrifugal clutch

Interesting stuff. Would that explain why the shifter mechanism on my daughter's 70cc ducar is so difficult to move? I mean stiff spring load. Even difficult for an adult. As a result she leaves it in 3rd all day, but she's getting heavier now and sometimes needs 2nd. Can I adjust this...

Next time it happens, do a quick test with the air filter off. They clog up.

Steering offset - triple clamps and e-axles

Thanks for that. Appreciated. Onto to it. ;) Already searching. Rear wheel went way back a long time ago. Tyres always as low as I am game to run em. Sag always setup for general cornering. Take another look at the diagram. Imagine the steering axis stays where it is. Then reduce the offset only...

Steering offset - triple clamps and e-axles

It's hard to say. The ideal amount of trail depends on a few things. Wheel size included. Perhaps the clamps are a copy off some mini bike which has the front axle on the bottom of the fork tubes and not much thought went into it. But maybe the clamps were designed for a frame with more...

Steering offset - triple clamps and e-axles

Q1) Anyone found anything like the Rekluse e-Axle for pitbikes? See Rekluse Motor Sports - e-Axle Q2) Anyone know of some fork triple clamps for 48mm fork tubes with an offset much lower than 37mm? See the diagram below. I want to increase the steering trail on my bike pitbike. Reason is to...

Which carby for my Lifan 150cc

If I may quote myself. :) I did this epoxy job between the brass swivel piece and the slide cap (cleaned with soap and steel wool first), and it worked a treat. I also silconed the rubber cable boot to the brass piece. I recommend it to anyone with an OKO flat slide carb. I specifically...

    Lifan 150 diffs and pics

I rode a tricky bush loop yesterday. Just kept thinking to myself while riding how happy I was not NOT have the stock or A2 cam in the engine. As mentioned the Lifan gears are way too spaced out. So often 2nd is too revvy and 3rd is laboring the engine and the ground is so damn bumpy that...

    air intake snorkle

Brave man you are doing a long trail ride on your pitbike. I'm running 18 PSI in my tyres now, and still denting my rims on big tree roots and rocks. Nasty hits though. If hammering it, I cannot usually get the bike to change line quick enough to go around some things. I usually also forget to...

    no rear mudflap?

Nice job. With DIY jobs, the main issue beside keeping it in position, is it working ok with full swing arm travel.

    no rear mudflap?

A DIY part on a mid-sized bike could look like this: http://www.miniriders.com.au/forum/tech-talk/15882-air-intake-snorkle.html#post148241 Mine looks better than that today. Works so good.

    Hard to find neutral

If good oil and proper clutch adjustment cannot fix it, and you don't feel like pulling it apart and inspecting for damage (right side off first then if it looks ok splitting the case) then you just get a new engine. No kidding. In your new engine, go easy on the shifting during the first 5 to...

    Forks bottoming out.

Ditto that. To cross check, measure how much piss comes out of each leg. Increase the amount of oil until the harsh bottoming goes away. What goes in should be quality stuff (ie. real fork oil), and 20w is good for the conventional/basic fork. If the front ride height (eg. static or...

    Rear Brakes are locked. Help!

Old brake fluid absorbs water. Brake parts can corrode fast and jam. Not only the slave cylinder+piston can jam (caliper), but the master piston can jam such that when you lift your foot off the pedal, the pedal might come up fine, but the piston does not return fully because the corrosion crap...

    valve adjustment

Mate ... bad way to write. I hope you don't get any further help. If your boss or parents offer to send you on a people skills course one day, then ask for annual tickets. For starters, people like myself don't always write to the original message. It's a thread. Many forum members might...

    exhaust

It lets you get away with throttle abuse. You can run slightly rich jetting and get good throttle response, but you retain a crisp clean burn. As a bonus it protects your valve seats. As a double bonus when the air temps or humidity get high, you wont need to lean off your jetting so...

Big diff is the size. The SR is a midsized bike. That might make the decision for you.

    exhaust

When you have the money, drop a 140 in your frame, do those basic mods/checks I mentioned (jetting, filter, gearing, slinger) and giddie-up and hang on. It'll be way different. :) Repeating what I wrote earlier, assuming you are on dirt, and you are not dragging down straights, and don't have...

    carby issues

So the "ticking" sound was from airflow thru a loose or broken gasket? About the 6 turns before feeling compression: That's EXACTLY why I dislike the stock anti-kick-back mechanism. It's not reliable. That POS mechanism had a lot to do with my case being cracked in my 140. A basic two lobe...
