Hey guys before I strip my engine id just like some advice regarding a problem.

When I ride the bike goes fine then something in the engine starts to spin while the bike isnt going anywhere although its trying. The problem is intermittant. I dont know how else to describe it apart from something grinding in the engine while it happens. And it only happens for a few seconds then goes back to normal.

The guys at the bike store arent sure what the problem may be?

it sounds like the clutch could be slipping or it's your gear box

but haven't heard of this before

I adjusted the clutch although it hasnt made a difference.

I guess ill have to strip it and have a look.

Could be loose clutch or oil slinger if them motors have 1 , have you checked the flywheel to see if it's tight , if not could be a gearbox problem

yeah sounds like a oil slinger issue... 2 piece ones like to come apart and then destroy the engine later...

In gear and won't move? Clutch issue or missing teeth on a cog, I'd guess.

Either way, STOP RIDING IT Lefty-loosey the clutch cover bolts and see what's wrong.
