140cc engine on ebay

hey guys, just wondering if anyone has seen these engines
Do you think these engines are just the same as any other 140cc lifan, or are alot better ?
Anyone got this engine ?
Overpriced ?
Any opinions...

I have a new 125cc 4ST in my Pitboss and i love it. 140cc would be crazy - DO IT! (should be noted i only paid 200 + postage for the 125cc)

The kick start gears only break if you don't kick your bike properly, search Snitchy post/thread/vid about how to look after you kickstart gears. A lot can be done to make them last as long as the rest of the bike.

weird, i've never done it and i've gone thru a few motors... When you stay striped was it just a few teeth off, enough to stop it fromworking or all teeth completely gone? Do you have a pic, i'd be interested in seeing what is going on.

just a few teeth i dont have a pic right now but they were brand new gears.engines not even 20 hours old

yep there the gears alright and mine look the same.its like theres to much compresion

1. don't think i have had a motor run for 20 hrs...
2. I have at least three sets of those gears laying around, might keep em seperate just in case.

Are you sure that your engine is the 1P56FMJ?they are not the same as the older model and have strengthened kickstart gears.
I have clocked up about 40hrs on mine in the 2 months i have owned it,and no problems at all.

Hey,
If you start it properlly with choke it will kick start up quickly, so it minimises the amount of kicks. If my kickstart gear broke, i'd replace it or replace the engine, more than once and i'd buy like a crf150 of like a cr125 or any reliable jap.

i doubt it has the big cam in it, if i was you i would buy the $300 140cc and spend 80 bux on a huge high rise cam and a new piston, will go better than what that thing would, telling ya ya won't be sorry. i have the normal 140 and its kicks alot of ass, never had any problems wif any motor, especially this one, no matter how hard i have it running at the track it won't blow or nothing. the throttle is usually pinned bout 80% of my runs
