My engine recently blew in my postie bike and i was looking at putting a 140cc engine into it. but was wondering how much trouble is involved in getting it registered again and wether its worth it? the bike is located in newcastle nsw

Most people would just replace the engine while registered and say nothing but it shouldn't be a prob. as long as it is roadworthy just like registering any other bike. what blew up in the 110?

I took the engine out and one of he local bike mechanics pulled it apart and had a look and he said it was rooted. I picked the parts up yesterday and one side of the piston has rubbing on the cylinder head. And he said it needs a full rebuild. Yeah I just heard that its expensive to get 140cc to pass for emissions and noise. And I would like to do it legally as with my driving record the local police love to slap me with fines whenever possible.
