im lookin at getting a 140xr pitpro mid sized, and want to no if there any good and wat problems they may have

welcome mate... please take note of what forum section you start threads in..
i have moved this to general chat.

now as for the pitpro 140 they are really no different to any other budget china bike.

keep the maintenance up to it and it will serve you fine..

are we talking about a new pit pro or secondhand?

Shouldn't be any major problems if you do pre-ride checks.

Many things can go wrong with china bikes. You just have to do the basic maintance.

You'll find more info by searching the forums:

Maintance is a Must with bikes.

First thing you do to the engine is drop the shipping oil and put in some new stuff:
- Shell Advance 4T Motorbike Oil - 15W-40, 1 Litre - Supercheap Auto
- Castrol Activ 4T Motorbike Oil - 15W-50, 1 Litre - Supercheap Auto

Then check your valves... VERY IMPORTANT!!:

Might want to have a look at some mods to do to your bike as well:

Thought this should've been in 'minichat'?

yea its new but the one im looking at is 1300 bucks would i be getting ripped?

yea i was looking at them and i looked at some review and most of them said they were shit

the atomik nitrous and the pitpro xr (klx version) and the normal pitpro 140 are entry level bikes. and nothing has really changed on them for the last 2 or so years.
meaning everything about them is pretty standard, specially the suspension which is what makes a half decent bike to ride...

if you've got 1300 to spend on a bike then id suggest you take a look at the DHZ range of bikes and maybe add some coin to the 1300 to get a bike with decent suspension...
especially the crf70 style bikes as they are the newest on the market..

but if your just bashing around a paddock or in the bush then the nitrous or pitpro will go ok but you'll find yourself upgrading the suspension in no time..

one thing to add is that the reviews you've read are probably from people thinking they were buying a top of the range bike, which they are far from..

just remember.. you get what you pay for.. even with china bikes..

im just looking at that DHZ now looks all good but is there any thing i should no bout it like wat problens i might have

majority of the china bikes share the same issues..

no real biggie if your handy with the tools and keep the maintenance up to them..

but yeah DHZ would be my pick in your price range

One thing that hasnt been mentioned

The duel stage foam air filters that come with the bike, are not the best. Buy a Genuine Uni filter, this is a good idea because the one that comes with it is fairly rubbish and is pretty standard.

Reason is because when washed a few times in a solvent the glue that hold the second layer of foam on melts and disolves in the cleaning process.

Maintanice is mandatory when having a bike especially a china bike. Regualr cleaning and oiling of chain and airfilter will do the bike well.

Another thing is that these horizontal engines vibrate and shake around a fair bit so regurly checking bolts is also a good idea. Locktighting, spring washers and lock nuts are the way to go.

Good luck also with finding a bike. :)
