Okay time to post about my recently acquired rm 125
attachment.php

Shes a 1994 rm 125 and when i got it as you can see in the photo the rear tyre was nonexistant and she needed some tlc... things like clutch lever.. rear tyre.. rear shock rebuild.. other than that she has a tight top end.. or well good compression for a single ring mx'r the clutch works well heres a pick of when i had the shock out

So i have given her some love, rebuilt the shock (done by kruzetoon) and bought some new grips along with a clutch lever and cable and a tyre and tube
And here she is now:

nice one dude, i love the suzi's! whats it like for bottom end power? i heard the 01-03 year models had little to no bottom end ?

i have not ridden her much, like around the block twice.. nearly no bottom end power (enough to get to to band maybe) but when im in band i can stay there all day provided i dont open the throttle too much and go over the back :p
i nearly lost it on the tarmac in 3rd or 4th gear :)

for trail riding a 250 would be a must but this one will be fun around the track i think

yeah i see. so it must be a common thing with suzi 2t's to have not much bottom end power compared to some of the other jap brands, kawasaki, yamaha etc. but like you said, it makes up for it in top end, so it'll be perfect for track riding :)

Yeah you gotta keep 125"s on song, I remember being quicker on a 125 then I was on a 250. I dig the 92 RM"s with the funky seat. Cool bike Zac

i guess if you compare them... but really tbh i prefer more top end power because thats where i will be when im riding fast :) maybe it does get a little annoying but i would not have a 125 2t any other way really

really? i mean i like top end, but its good to be able to cruise around down low, and be able to be actually going somewhere with out wringin its neck. in a race situation, it would be suitable, and i suppose the RM's are designed to be raced but still, i would want more bottom end, but i suppose the solution to that problem lies in the hands of the good ol yz250f...how i long for it lol.

Yeah but then if your on a 250 2t on a track it may feel overpowered :p
always over doing the jumps if you hold it pinned..
i reckon keeping it pinned and having to keep it pinned is racing not backing off for EVery jump, of cause the few but not all

however trail riding you need the power to get up hills and whatnot so the 2t is perfect whereas the high power 4ts will give you too much power to hook up to the ground.. untill you go on tarmac of cause

yeah i suppose your right in that regard, but for trail riding i think i would prefer like a 250 4t just for the bottom end.
Not that an rm 125 is incapable with this, just i think it'd be a bit easier with a 4t for the bottom end grunt :)

nice rm mate you planning on giving it any goodies? i got to get round to doin up my rm80, i love the 2smokers, takes more skill to be quick on a trail on a 2 banger thats what makes em so much fun ;)

maybe a new top end after a couple days riding..
i have been offered a good price for it as is so i may have to take that option (gotta get a road registered bike soon) maybe a nice rmx.. or somthing alike that

I got to ride her today, went bloody well even had her pinned in 6th gear for a while there..
i take back what i said about it being a bad trail bike it was good for bashing around the trails and the top speed was fast enough for most people.. they get squirrely as hell at top speed so you dont need to go much faster (same as any other dirt bike)

there will be a pic and a video and a good flyby of 6th gear coming up soon

sweet! cant wait! hows the suspension? the rear shock would be pretty good now, that its re-built i imagine :)

Felt pretty good the front forks were a little stiff for me i will have to talk to kruze toon about that one
I really wouldnt mind keeping this bike and throwing a bit more money at it but i gotta get a road legal bike because im getting my bike l's soon

Got out for a good ride on sunday, dont worry small videos are comin heres a pic (also near where i plan to do the rotn 50 hill climb challenge to get to this peak)
