200 thumpstar rebuild info

i was lucky enough to buy a 2006 thumpstar200 but i have to rebuild its smokin heaps im thinkin piston and rings but the problem resides is that i know nothing of this bike model? and what motor? i have a vin number; apiye1116807901 and engine number;060780853 any info on this bike would be much appreciated im looking forward any replies thanks

Yeah sounds like the rings have gone, Wouldnt be surprised if the piston was burn aswell. all that oil being burnt will burn the piston to a crisp.

the piston on my bike had a 1mm of crusty burn oil on it, the owner before me must of had it running really rich.

can you post a pic of this 200 thumpstar... and if it has another engine number post it too..

never heard of a 200cc thumpstar lol... if it is a vertical 200cc engine then DHZ will have nothing to help you..
ebay is the only place.. moto x spares i think the name is

i got another engine number of the engine case ; DJ 164 fml 060780853
it is a vertical motor 1 down 5 up gearbox
its starting to frustrate me
