Haven't seen these on our shores yet.
BSE is the manufacturer....MSO and Monsoon are just names created by different Aus importers.
This is a different model than the MSO/Monsoon.....all made by BSE.
In the same way Apollo is the manufacturer of Orions that are badged Atomik or Monster etc. by importers.
BSE just ships them with whatever name on the stickers you like. This importer has just decided to keep the BSE name on his stickers.

Check out http://www.bsemotorcycle.com for the range of BSE bikes and you should find this model there.

The model you posted has the same spec engine (except for elec. start) and forks as the BSE/Monsoon.
It has a different carby, rear shock, front rim size, sprocket ratio, tail pipe and (obviously) chasis and plastics.
Definately better built than the other option in this price range, which is the Apollo's. (AGB 21/27/29)
I'd like to check out the quality of that twin-spar frame up close, as the AGB29 frame hasn't been getting a good rap.
Criticisms....not too sure about that swing arm, particularly the end....it's got the lighter nobby tyre...I don't like the elec. start cause it's extra weight, battery is in a prick of a spot, and the starter motor is just one more thing to go wrong.....bit tall in the sprocket gearing...and finally I don't reckon the dipped seats are too comfy. Most of these things are easy and cheap to solve but I'd prefer it as close as possible to what I'd want, straight up.
If thats the style you like....I'd buy it over an Apollo/AGB anyday.

Just an edit....the blue one has the better tyres and a better final drive ratio of 16/42 instead of 16/48. 428 chain chain and sprockets. It also has a nicer looking tail pipe. It is also just kick start. It has a mikuni carby. I noticed too that this model has good protection from the chain rubbing on the swing arm top and bottom (better than the MSO/Monsoon), but no roller. I suspect the blue one (A17) is newer stock/model, it is definately the better bike.

cheers for that mate. Its all new to me this stuff. I like the style look of this one over this type http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI...60007000782&rd=1&sspagename=STRK:MEWA:IT&rd=1
to me it looks abit small but i may be wrong. Theres so many out there to choose. Are these bikes any good in sand. Cos i have Honda trx 450r quad which i mainly ride in sand but im looking for a cheapish $1000 bike that i can muck around on and have some fun.

thats an Apollo there frames are very weak we have had had them here for a while(12 months as a few of my mates had them)

That is from the BSE factory not Appollo. Not one of their better bikes I reckon. Fugly as.

Don't be fooled by the styling....it's not an Apollo.
The Yellow and the red ones he's selling are the BSE-821A16.
The Blue one is the BSE-821A17.
On the website the A16 is red and the A17 is grey.

sorry my mistake looks very alike just bse has lifan and apollo has Ducar. Looks like it has same exhaust can, rear shock ,seat ,plastics, forks, bars, sprocket ,wheels and hubs and could even have same frame, as the one sitting in my garage(orion). Wonder if the frame is stronger?

Yeah right...I just had a close look at the Apollo site.
http://www.apollovehicle.com/product/agb_27.htm
Roost, do you reckon you've got the AGB27 or the AGB27A?
No doubt it is a case of the 2 manufacturers out-sourcing the same parts.
If you really look close you'll spot more differences than the engines but they are bloody similar to look at.

I've got two AGB27A's , but they have the same discs and hubs as the BSE .They are differant to the ones in that link for Orions.Ones dead and the other is close to dead( both dumped in my garage by mates). The frames on the BSE may be stronger but they look so simaler, but i know looks can be desieving( sorry about my spelling i'm a mechanic not a skoller)

Haven't ridden mine in sand...
This seller is new if you look at his history. He's only sold 2 so far for $649 (red one - A16) and $699 (blue one - A17). He is listing from $1 with no reserve so you could get a bargain. If you're determined to go that way get the blue one for sure, it has a few upgrades on that model....carby, tyres, tail-pipe, chain and sprockets....

Roost....don't worry you're far from the worst speller on this forum....just out of interest, how long did the AGB27A's last? What busted?

about 12 months but would of lasted longer if owners had some respect and maintained them, as i know people who have had them for that long and maintained them and are still going strong. That said what bike will last if you do not maintain it. The frames do not like jumping at all they start cracking in lots of places you can not see till it is to late. They can be braced, other than that it is just the common things that no servicing causes, abit smokey, afew rattles, snapped chains , bent rims, loose spokes , ect.. If you look after these bikes thay will last awhile.

yer? I thought they looked quite strong. But as i said i know nothing bout these. So for around $100 the mso seem to be the best?
