i just got my first bike and its an atomik 160cc bigfoot, it goes alright but there is just one hting i dont understand about it

the choke has 3 levels, which i asume is off, half on, and full on...
how ever when i turn it completly off the bike almost instantly dies and fuel drips from the 'dripping line thing' under the bike....so i usualy ride it with the choke half on

is this ok to ride it like this? or should i get it fixed

thanx heaps

i ride on full or 1/2 not a prob here mine does same but im to lazy to re tune haha nah ur bike will be fine man

^^^^lolz to the above...

no it will not be fine..

mitch i think your operating your choke in reverse...
to clarify which is where remove the air cleaner and operate the choke..

closed butterfly is choke on
open butterfly is choke off..

my guess tht when you think your turning your choke off your actually turning it on which causes the engine to draw more fuel and then it piss's out the over flows..

also mikuni carbs have a fine line between correct float level setting and to high.. some actually piss fuel out after heaps of kicking on the kick starter..

thanks heaps, i took the filer off and figured it out now, that should help next time i go riding lol

mine dont leak fle out over flow i run it on 1/4 choike, so not ok? o well rev it and the butter flyopens more
